Are you looking to find relief from past experiences that interfere with your day to day functioning? Do you feel overwhelmed with anxious thoughts and feelings, or find yourself unable to work towards your goals. Maybe you are a parent trying your best, but not sure how else to help your child. You’re not alone and I’m here to help.
Getting Started
Whether you are new to counseling or have tried it before, I’m here to walk with you through the journey. I believe strongly that most people are doing the best they can with what they have at any given time. I strive to make therapy a safe place where you can work towards your goals for yourself and/or your child.
What to expect
For many people, walking into a therapy session can be daunting. At any point in the process feel free to ask more, but here’s a general idea of what to expect:
After scheduling your first appointment you will fill out New Client Paperwork. In your first session we will go through these forms to see if you have any questions. Our first session is a time to get to know each other and get some background on what your goals are for yourself or your child. If you don’t know yet, don’t stress, we can work together to figure that out! In the following sessions we will work collaboratively to develop a plan for treatment and begin working towards those goals.
